This matters for the revenue protection argument because:
- They cannot accurately estimate risk. When a QA leader does not understand the technical complexity of testing a distributed payment system, they cannot provide accurate risk assessments. Their revenue protection estimates will be either wildly inflated (losing credibility) or dangerously understated (losing protection).
